On August 29, the exhibition “5th Iberoamerican Biennial of Design /BID16” was inaugurated at the Centro Cultural Universitario Bicentenario (CC200) San Luis Potosí, Mexico, as part of the cultural events commemorating “September, Month of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí”.
On this occasion, 205 of the more than 400 works from 23 countries that participated in #BID16 are shown.

On September 27, the exhibition “10 Years of Bolivia at the BID” was inaugurated at the Simón I Educational and Cultural Center. Patiño in the city of Cochabamba.

The BID exhibition that will be exhibited at the Plurinational Culture Center (CCP) will comprise two exhibitions
The first exhibition will exhibit more than thirty works that were part of the 2016 edition of the BID. An exhibition that covers all areas of design: product design, interior design, graphics, textiles, fashion and more. This exhibition will reflect the thematic axes on which the IDB focuses and deepens its work, ideas such as innovation, experimentation, social inclusion and citizen participation, are the engine and guide that the biennial has to show design as a discipline associated with people’s welfare and economic development.
10 years of Bolivia at the BID
The second moment is a retrospective of the participation of Bolivian designers in all BID editions since its inception in 2008. A review of how Bolivian design has been creating its own identity as well as gaining prominence in the BID.

A retrospective of Bolivia’s 10 years at the BID will be shown. An exhibition that reflects the Bolivian participation throughout its five editions with a total of 53 works from different areas that have been selected and awarded prizes and mentions. You can visit it from May 25 to July 20.
National Museum of Art
5th Ibero-American Design Biennial Exhibition in which the works of award-winning designers and Bolivian designers present at the BID16 will be presented. You can visit it from June 20 to July 15.
Cultural Center of Spain in La Paz, National Museum of Art
It will open at the Franz Mayer Museum on May 31st and will run until July 15th 2018. It will be an exhibition with a selection of the most representative works of the edition, both in panels and in physical pieces. There will be 205 works. It is a cut-out that includes a representation of the 23 Latin American countries participating in the 2016 IDB edition. It will show all the works of Mexican designers, the winners of
BID Awards and Mentions16 and some finalists.
It will tour several cities in Mexico with venues and dates to be confirmed: Guadalajara (MIND, Innovation and Design Center), San Luis Potosí and Puebla.
Franz Mayer Museum
The BID itinerancy in Peru will show a selection of panels and pieces from the works of Peruvian designers participating in all editions of the BID(2008 to 2016) and will also exhibit the winning works of Awards and Mentions at the BID16.

Nine Panamanian works will be presented as part of the Iberoamerican Biennial of Design (BID), along with the winners of the BID16 awards.
On Thursday, November 23, at 7:00 pm, the BID’s itinerancy in Guayaquil, Ecuador, organized by Casa Grande University and DIMAD, will be inaugurated.
The exhibition is composed of 80 large-format plates, which contain explanatory descriptions of each project with high quality photographs.
